Teri Larson Clark
Teri has a lifelong passion for creativity. She has been blessed with many creative gifts, including drawing, painting, music, gardening, and theatre. She believes in never ceasing to learn and play. She pours her heart into everything she does, and is currently studying to become a licensed ASL interpreter.
Teri’s inspiration for her pieces comes from many sources. A primary source is the beauty of God’s creation. There is so much color and texture and creativity obvious in nature, that there is no shortage of inspiration. Skies, clouds, sunsets, and reflections on water particularly fascinate her. She also likes to show man’s interaction with nature: a boat on the water, a path in the woods, a lakeside dock, a bird at a feeder. As she loves to travel and experience different cultures, inspiration also comes from the photographs by her brother-in-law, who travels across Europe taking amazing pictures. She loves experimenting with unexpected color combinations and effects. More recently, she has been playing with a variety of textures, and most of her paintings seem to jump off the canvas with the thick texture. |
