I love making art that is also functional. This napkin holder was hand cut on my scroll saw- a CNC cannot do this and a laser would leave all the edges jet black. I used Fiddleback, also called Tiger Maple for the sides and the base is highly figured Jatoba from Brazil. The figure in both the Maple and the Jatoba were highlighted with Teak oil and a light wax; I never use stain. This handmade napkin holder will make a wonderful gift and a decorative addition to any art lover's kitchen.
