Reva earned her B.A. in Mathematics at the University of Texas, Austin; her Masters in Mathematics at SHSU. In 2008 she retired from teaching mathematics and computer science and began her life in aquarelle.
To formalize her art Reva first studied with Eldon Faries. Always in search of a creative way to capture light and the liquid illusive effect of watercolor, she continued her studies with a variety of nationally acclaimed artists such as Arne Westerman, Steven Quiller, Don Getz, Gerry Finch, John Salminen, Frank Webb, Judy Morris, Judi Betts, Shirley Sterling, and others. Their artistic diversity has inspired her and influenced her style.
Reva is a Signature Member of Watercolor Art Society-Houston and has served on the board of directors. Also, she is a member of Lone Star Art Guild (LSAG), Tomball Art League (TAL) and the Woodlands Art League (WAL). She has been accepted into National Society of Artists, (NSA). Reva’s work was juried for exhibited at Wayne Stark Gallery at Texas A&M & she has also exhibited at Galleria Regina in Houston.
Reva competes locally, nationally and internationally. She has taken numerous first, second and third place ribbons through WAS-H and the various LSAG leagues. She has received many awards including Best of Show in LSAG, TAL, Best Watercolor in Northwest Art League and Livingston Art League. She has won ribbons in the
WAS-H International Exhibit & their Membership Show.
