Randy Turner
Randy Turner is a native Houstonian who moved to the Cypress / Tomball area when he was 12. Randy graduated from Cy-Fair High School where he was involved in metal shop, wood shop, and art related classes. He also attended the Art Institute of Houston. Randy started working with glass art shortly after high school and is an accomplished artist in glass etching. In the 80's and 90's you would find him adding the beauty of glass etching to custom cars and trucks throughout Texas.
In more resent years, Randy has turned to stained glass...but with a twist. Some of his works may have a conventional look as a standard, flat panel but where he differs, is how he views and creates his art. Many of his pieces are created not only with stained glass but also rusty metal, savaged car parts, antique wooden windows and even repurposed bottles. The real kicker is that most of his pieces are 3-dimensional. |
Today, Randy is a local artist working out of his Spring, Texas studio where he continues to create stained glass sculptures that are unique and one of a kind pieces.
