Eric was raised in small town, mid-west America (Indiana). You could say it was the non-digital age. A much different world from the one young kids have today. However, there was Saturday morning cartoons and like most kids in that era, Eric and his older brother Rob (a year and a half older) would be glued to the TV all morning. They were also avid collectors of comic books. They had so many comic books, a steam trunk overflowed with a vast variety of illustrated entertainment. Eric was always fascinated with these artists who could visualize and draw superheroes, creatures, and things from other worlds. “How was this done?” “How do I become part of this world?” During his elementary school years, he would sit for hours and copy the characters in these comics.
Eric is a right-brain thinker and gravitates toward formal education” in art. After Judson, Eric would join his parents and brother in the Florida Keys. Another world of creativity and a plethora of artists in Key West. Free from school and being in his later teen years, he would experience an exciting life of fun, sun and parties. Fast forward 6 years; he moves to Houston and gets a job as an artist at a map company. A year later, he accepts a job offer from Exxon as a Draftsman and Graphic Artist. Working in a Drafting/Graphics Department allowed Eric to work with many very talented artists and learn different techniques and mediums.
With an established career at Exxon, Eric looks to the future and marriage, a home, children, etc. The very next year, he marries his girlfriend (Dorothy). They would have two beautiful daughters (Rachel and Shelby).
Eric is currently a Business Development manager for a national Audio Visual company and paints in his spare time. The medium of choice is Acrylic paint on Canvas.
