Hilda was born in Colombia, studied Petroleum engineering and worked in the oil industry. Many years later she rediscovered art as her passion and took lessons at the Glassell School in the Museum of Fine Arts of Houston. In Canada she studied with Sharon Williams and Geoff Kepleis and participated in two group exhibitions: THE UNSEEN ART, 2009, at ART POINT GALLERY, and at CALGARY SCHOOL OF ART, 2010.
In 2010 she moved to Brazil where she became a member of the Art group called ARTE CARIOCA, with the recognized artists AUGUSTO SOUSA RODRIGUEZ, ANTONIO MEIJUERO and others.
In Brazil she exhibited at the gallery of the CENTRO CULTURAL ANGLO AMERICANO, at the ACADEMIA MACONICA DE ARTES CIENCIAS E LETRAS DO ESTADO DO RIO DE JANEIRO, earning the medal REDENTOR DO RIO, at the CENTRO CULTURAL DE PIRACICABA, at the Restaurant COUVE-FLOR, and also exhibited in the group exhibition “Nude but not rude” at Linus Gallery in California in 2012. She participated in the Weekend With the Masters, conferences, 2012.
Currently she lives in Houston, Texas, and is an active member of THE WOODLANDS ART LEAGUE and the DAVINCI ARTISTS GALLERY. She was awarded four ribbons in the 2013 LSAG convention..
