I was born in Refugio, Texas and grew up in South Central Texas. I studied art in High School, and after graduating moved to Corpus Christi, and soon relocated to Houston where I went to night school at the University of Houston, graduating with a degree in engineering. I rekindled my interest in art in the mid 1990’s with my artist mother. After losing her to cancer, I vowed to spend more time putting paint on canvas.
